Red Project Management is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to support procurement operations, vendor coordination, and purchasing activities across multiple projects. This role starts as a contract position with the opportunity to transition into a full-time permanent role based on performance and company needs.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, comfortable working in fast-paced environments, and capable of handling vendor communication, order tracking, and procurement support tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Assist with sourcing products, materials, and digital or physical assets
- Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing, availability, and delivery timelines
- Prepare purchase orders, invoices, and procurement documentation
- Track orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
- Coordinate with project managers and internal teams on procurement needs
- Research suppliers and compare pricing/options
- Monitor shipments and resolve delivery or order issues
- Maintain organized procurement spreadsheets and databases
- Support administrative and operational purchasing activities as needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, administrative support, or operations preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or similar tools
- Comfortable working independently and remotely
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Professional and reliable work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with vendors or supplier management
- Experience in project coordination or procurement environments
- Familiarity with digital asset purchasing, logistics, or contractor coordination is a plus
